General Care

Fine jewellery is delicate and requires gentle handling. We recommend:

• Apply makeup, perfume, and hairspray before wearing your jewellery. Chemicals can dull the shine of gold and gemstones.
• Remove jewellery before swimming, bathing, or engaging in physical activities.
• Store each piece separately in the provided Rajshree velvet box or a soft pouch to prevent scratches.

Gold & Polki (Uncut Diamonds)

Polki jewellery uses a traditional setting with gold foil backing, which is sensitive to moisture.

• Never submerge Polki or Kundan jewellery in water. Moisture can get trapped behind the setting and discolor the foil.
• Clean only with a soft, dry cloth after every use to remove oils and sweat.
• If deep cleaning is required, please bring it to our store for professional maintenance.

Diamonds & Precious Stones

While diamonds are the hardest substance, they can still chip if struck at the right angle.

• Clean diamond jewellery periodically with warm water and a mild soap solution. Use a soft brush to gently clean behind the stone.
• Emeralds and pearls are softer stones; avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals.
• Check the prongs of your diamond settings annually to ensure the stones are secure.

Professional Maintenance

We offer complimentary cleaning and inspection services for all Rajshree patrons. We recommend a professional check-up once a year to polish scratches and tighten loose settings.
